Skeptics In The Valley is a rational, skeptical group that cares if the things our society accepts as true are actually so. We discus all things paranormal and are open to them being true. We just want the Evidence. The focus of this group is to include people from the Lower Fraser Valley communities that feel geographically isolated from like minded groups in Vancouver giving them the opportunity to meet and discus their point of view in an open, non-judgmental forum.
Humanism is a worldview based on reason, science, and compassion instead of supernatural dogma. The BC Humanists are Vancouver and British Columbia's oldest group serving the freethought community. We hold Sunday meetings every week at the Oakridge Seniors' Centre in Vancouver and special events at different times across the province. Not all of our members are on MeetUp, so except larger crowds than are confirmed online!

Because of the nature of this group, devotees of any faith, such as Christianity, are asked not to join. People who have left any belief system such as J …

Services focus on issues of everyday spirituality and ethical living as well as broad-based religious and social justice concerns. Our children’s program promotes social justice, open-min …

Theravadins revere the historical Buddha but do not recognize the various celestial buddhas and ancillary gods associated with Mahayana Buddhism. For many centuries, Theravada Buddhism has been the predominant religion of continental Southeast Asia (Thailand, Myanmar/Burma, Cambodia, and Laos) and Sri Lanka; today Theravada Buddhi …

… Sat Nam Rasayan is free from dogmatism, religion and belief systems. It does not only help yoga practitioners and therapists, but every interested person, to sharpen the senses and to learn meditation and a meditative healing technique. Appropriate for all levels of meditation experience.
